Back in the late 80’s one of the off-road magazines had a cover with a yellow Bronco running 35” x 18.5” Dick Cepek’s. I believe it had a standard hard top that was cut down to about half-cab size. I’m guessing this was 1989, or possibly 1990. I believe it was Off Road magazine, but not 100% sure. Anybody remember that issue? Anybody have it?

A high school friend of mine had a yellow bronco in 4wheeler years ago but I think it was in the early 90s. His name was Frank. It was way built up. He built it for running the dunes in glamis. I have the issue somewhere. He passed away about 15 years ago. His was yellow but usually topless.

I remember that one. Is that the one that had no stereo system because 'Bud' the owner wanted to listen to the motor instead of tunes?

Sounds vaguely familiar. I probably have it but would have to dig.

Could be! If so, we would have another thing in common.

I will look.
I remember the issue.

You don’t have to go digging for it. If somebody has it, and knows exactly where it is, it would be fun to see. It’s the one that got me into this addiction in the first place.

Is this it? If so it belonged to Mac2Night on here. I believe it was a 97 article in 4wd performance.

Crush,
No, it’s not that one. The one I’m talking about had a white hard top cut down to half cab size. Ran 35x18.50 Mickey Thompson’s. I don’t think it had a brush guard.

Thanks for posting, though.

After seeing Crush's picture there made me remember how everyone I knew back in the 80s rode MX bikes and we alwaus had used cross-bar pad on our transfer case shifter.

Hi-jack over....
