Yep, its fun. When I get bored w/ studyin late at night, I drive thru the freshman parking garages in the mustang setting the alarms off next to the dorms. Im sure the bronco will too seeing how it was causing the wall hangings in the house to rattle while I was doing the engine break in

The Bronco doesn't yet but my go fast baby ('99 turbo v6 Camaro) use too until the Germans said I had to quiet it down. 3" exhaust from the turbo manifold back, hollowed cat, SLP Loud Mouth cat back(4dB quieter than straight pipes ;D) They tested it because it was too loud. 102dB at 3k rpm. I made Harleys look twice. My friend swears she could hear it coming from 2-3 miles away. It'd set off car alarms at idle. I can only imagine what it'd do in a parking garage.

Yes, I have a 347 stroker, Wild Horses long tube headers, 2 1/2" pipe to dual flowmaster super 44s, and 2 1/2" pipe turned down right in front of rear axle. Ever where I drive it, I hear car alarms churping. We had a get together at a beach park a few weeks ago and when I backed my Bronco in to line them up the alarm on the car next to me was going nuts. The lady that owns the car came running over, she thought I had hit her car. It was funny as heck, I had to explain to her that my exhaust is so loud that it set off her alarm.

Hrm - I've got a feeling that the 408 with Hooker over the fender headers are going to set all sorts of things off.... :D

The only alarm I set off with my Bronco is the house alarm ( my 2 border collies) they took no time in learning the sound of that stock 302 softly rumbling up the street, no late night sneakin in around here!

My harley on the other hand is really good at setting em off. I can idle through the parking garage near dowtown in Prescott and with the occasional throttle blip have every car in the place going off, my friends think I should grow up (I think they secretly want to be me ;D )

I had a Ramcharger with a strong 360. At idle it would set off alarms, the harmonics where real wild. At a drive thru the inside of a Dairy Queen would vibrate and hum. It was a very deep rumble that I miss.

i had a 82 volkswagen rabbit diesel in high school and that thing would set off every car alarm in the parking lot when i left. guess the low end rumble of the diesel at idle must have done it.

Both my vehicles set off car alarms ;D especially in parking garages.
I'm trying to work a deal on a 3" exhaust (turbo back) with no catalitic converter, for the car. That will make me really popular with my neigbors.

the bronco has glass packs and has never set off alarms, but my straight piped dodge cummins does it all the time!

I'm reading over this thread as a full exhaust is on the short list for the bronco. and by short list, I mean in the next 6 months.....

not sure how "loud" I want to go.

my superduty with full banks exhaust makes a little noise, but not bad. its a diesel...its annoying enough as it is.

my last truck was a 97 chevy 1 ton dually. whipple charger on top of the big block, with full headers, gutted cats, 2 chamber flows, big fat chrome tips all connected by full 3" tubes. LOUD.....and eventually annoying.
yes, it set everything off, including all my neighbors when I'd leave the house during sleeping hours.....

yeah, it does. Sometime is parking decks I just rev mine a little just to see how many I can set off! Guess I've got a mean streak.

Sure does! ;D

Oh jeez, I have the same set-up with the mufflers exiting out in front of the rear tires!! Drove my EB 4 times last year so I didn't get to set off all those car alarms, but I will hit the upscale mall parking garage to test it out. Can't wait!!! (insert evil laugh) HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
