My driver's side door is extremely hard to open with the push button... I figured out what it is... somehow the connecting rod that goes from the outside handle to the mechanism is bent... and I can't seem to bend it so it will open smoothly... does anyone know where I can get a new one? Maybe some of those rod clips too?

I have two parts doors up in my shop. Tell me exactly what you need and I'll check them, both should be complete so I should have what you need. I'd be glad to sell you what you need for a few bucks.

I used aircraft cable and a small 10/28 tensioner to make it work like a charm again. It was actually quite easy. I'll have to do a tech article on it when I get time. As I remember, you just take the rod loose and run a cable to the tensioner, put loctite on the tensioner and tighten up the cable

Try a little WD40 first. I had the same problem and it did wonders. Roll the window up and take the door panel off. Spray, jiggle, spray. Worked for me.

wd-40 is good for a temporary fix but you need a lasting lubricant
teflon or graphite lube

What about a white lithium grease?
