Door hinge repair?

I am in the middle of a restoration and I am trying to get my doors to fit. The hinges have play in them where the pin holds them together. Does anyone make a repair kit? How can I fix these so there is no play in them?

Thanks Much,

;D

You can do 1 of 2 things I know about...

1st you can do the quick release conversion in the tech section over younder <<<<<<<<<<<<

OR

at almost any parts store there are rebuild kits, JUST LIKE THE ONE SOLD AT JEFF'S! You just need to drill out the hole a lil bit drop in a sleeve/bushing combo and toss in a pin and yer done!!

I have some brand new FORD hinges and they have a little play in them brand new. Not a lot but they do move around a bit. There are some brand new ford hinges on e-bay right now ( early bronco ) and I'll bet you can buy them for about $50 - $60. New from a parts supplier are about $100 - $120 EACH. There are right and there are left hinges but both will work on either side. Those pins don't just fall out if the hinge is upside down ;D You can hardly pound them out.

I went with the new pin's from Jeff's. Helped a bunch and easy to install. The right drill bit and a good shop vise to press them back in. :) Good luck :D
