That is what I have on my 72. The hole inside the door took some thinking and some creative hole making. First install was the stock location. Before painting I welded up the stock holes and moved the mirrors as far forward as possible. Both locations work fine - just personal preference.
I managed to rip off my drivers side and bought a replacement off the web. $25 with shipping and the thing looked pretty good. Of course NOS are very nice, but they are priced accordingly. The door had a dent but the replacement mirror covered it.
For the stock location check the hole to line up you need to ask the seller for the dimensions to be sure because there are two hole patterns. Plan on using bolts with stop nuts to hold it in place as the rivnuts don't work very well on thin curved metal. Live and learn - Ha
The cable is not an issue plenty long - much longer that required. It does need the cable holder to keep it in place. The stock remote should come with the gadget. My door had an existing hole in the correct place. Not a big deal to drill a new one. The holder keeps the cable from flopping around.
The BCB price is very good for a NOS mirror. On the web they cost more. I wonder if the BCB is a knockoff - not that it will matter?
BTW those mirrors came on Mustangs, & Galaxy's of the same vintage. Ford part numbers are C9AB/C9AJ for drivers /Passenger respectively.
