Dual front shock mount on radius arm cap

Looking for a pic of a dual front shock mount setup that has tab welded on radius arm cap. I have tabs on mine, but never had dual fronts. I would like to see pic before I remove tabs from cap (I don’t think I will mount using that tab).

Can't you go to a Bronco parts house website, look at the cap and see what needs to be cut off from the pic? You said you were going to cut it off so if you see the pic of a new radius arm cap then you'll know what not to cut off right? What am I missing?

Can you get a pic of just the tab? I can only see something on the last pic on the far right side of the radius arm cap.

Just cut it off so the cap looks like an OE radius arm cap when done cutting/grinding.

Here is mine...

mrdrnac, are those older pics, or new? Have we talked about your steering angles before? Seems like we have, but basically I think if you rotate your tie rod slightly so that the draglink end points more upward, you'll get a slightly better parallel alignment on the two bars.

Maybe you're not having any issues worth troubling about, but wanted to mention it anyway in case it might fine tune the steering just a teeny bit more.

I'm just wondering, in the second picture. You have the fuel pump and filter mounted on the outside of the frame which is fine, but it's in the fender opening ,where rocks and debris can hit them. The tire will throw. Are you going to shield it?The better place would be, back farther on the frame to protect it.

Thanks Paul, great eyes, as usual! Picture was taken before I aligned the front end. Drag link end is pointed up correctly now, after I educated the alignment tech on how it should be pointed. %)

Hey Savage, thanks for the suggestion! I've run the pump like that for years, without issue (always carry a spare) but I like your shield idea. I think I'll fab one up!

I know what needs removed, I wanted to see what was used for top mount of shock. I’m undecided about the type of dual system I would want.

Mine mount on top to hoops that I welded in. There was a kit to add a piece of flat stock in front of the coil spring like stock f150 or 250 brackets from the time period.
