More shocks will give you a stiffer road ride. I would go with some quality single shocks like some bilsteins. I run the 5100s and really like them compared to my old rancho 5000s that were way too stiff. You only need double shocks if you are going to jump it or do some high speed off roading.

Go single shocks. I love my rancho 9000s. Only go more like said above or you want to paint everything pink underneath with chrome shocks.... ;)

I've had them both ways and both have their good points. I like the singles ride for a DD but the stability of doubles on the highway is great too. The best of both worlds is the adjustable shock or perhaps a sway bar .

I'm running single 9000s on all four corners. The adjustability is nice, good ride on the street. I wouldn't bother with doubles unless you are after the cool factor or are racing or jumping.

I've had duals, all the way around, on two Bronco's, installed by previous owners and I pulled them off. Yes, they have a large "wow" factor, but unless your running baha style events they are a waste of money. They actually are a detriment for rockcrawling due to limited articulation. As previously stated, stick with one good quality shock, like a Bilstein.

sounds like single is the way to go for me but i am putting big tires at least 35/12.50s maybe bigger will the dual shocks help with stabilizing the tires or not?????

I always thought that the twin (I had rancho 3000) shocks helped with the body roll and jump in the corners using the 35's. After switching to single Bilstein, I now have a smoother ride and just as stable cornering.

I ran singles RS5000 on my 67and my dual Duffs on my 68.

on my 68 I'm changing to doubles up front only and singles in the back because the truck rides great now just too stiff in the rear only.
