I had enough of the glue on rear view mirrors. My mirror would fall off at least once or twice a year. I found this on Amazon and and it looked like the perfect solution for an early bronco. The key was getting something low profile to clear the windshield wipers control arms.

Odd. My glue on mirror was on for 7 years and I had to use a Hammer and chisel to remove it when I replaced the windshield. Not sure why it would fall off so often. Factory glue on mirrors last decades as well. I'd be more concerned about drilling holes in the windshield frame and the lack of height adjustment.

I tried multiple glues, different tabs, ruffed up the glass. Nothing would keep this thing on for more then a year.

I've had bad luck with the regular permatex rear view mirror glue from auto parts stores. Here in Florida the glass must get to hot because mirrors fall off all the time. My sons 02 F150 just lost the mirror last week. I'll have to try the E6000 next time for sure.

I tried multiple glues, letting the metal piece sit for days before adding the mirror, all failed. The last time, it even took a piece of the damn windshield with it! Hard mounted to the frame now. Not my favorite but only other option was to replace the glass. I'll see how long I can get away with this

We used to have that problem too with ours. My dad would glue/re-glue, wait to let it set up for various times, etc. The glue started pulling pieces of glass out of ours as well so mine went to a hard mount (on the rollcage now) as well.

I have more questions than answers.
Just had the one on my pickup come off with a piece of the glass. Went out and it was hanging by the wires. Not sure which direction to go from here. No roll bar to mount to.

Have upgraded all my trucks to the temp/compass mirrors over the years. First failure...

. i'VE TRIED SEVERAL DIFFERENT GLUE LATELY & nothing has stuck them on. So last week I had the windowshield man come & Install a new window shield in one of my jeeps , So while he was here I had him replace 3 on other farm Rides.
He said he had a better brand .
