What is the difference between original roadster door inserts and current re-pops. How can you tell if you have an early set? Any specific markings on them to look for?

Original Roadster inserts do not have the interior pieces made on them like many of the reproduced inserts, but the interior pieces are steel components screwed to the insert. The easiest way to tell the difference is to look on the backside. The new inserts are made of fiberglass and the original inserts are made of a fiber reinforced plastic that is grey in color. If you know what the original V8 fan shrouds look like, the original inserts are made of the same material. This is the easiest way to tell the difference in a repop and an original.
It's just my assumption and take it for what it's worth, but after looking closely at the material, the manufacturing techniques, and the mold marks and identification characters, I think the same manufacturer made the fan shrouds and the Roadster inserts.
