It finally got here! This 1975 Bronco has been sitting in my brothers barn in Texas for the past seven years. He asked if I wanted it and like any red blooded American I said YES. So I arranged to have it shipped with delivery right after Christmas. It got stranded in Austin after the hauled broke down. The hauled finally got repaired with delivery in Loxahatchee, FL made Easter.
Besides not working, it looks in decent shape. There is surface rust all over with only the drivers floor and panel beneath the drivers door going all the way through. My first mission is going to take it apart and sand it down and get %)it protected from the wet Florida weather.
In the long run i plan on installing disk breaks and power stearing. i figured taking axels off an existing vehicle would be the easiest way. What would be the best vehicle t take the axels from.
I also plan on changing the transmission. is it feasible to change it from automatic and go with the 5 speed manual? Or should I go with the AOD?
Thanks for any help.
