Offically an EB owner. After a long winter season of work, it's almost finished. Just a few final touches to finish up. Can't wait to the first run at the April Fools Bash II.

Here's some pics of the rebuild.

One question, is that hoop in the rear of the cage going to hold your spare? I thing that would look good.

The rig started out as a 78 Bronco and then I put a regular cab and custom short box. After a small mishap and landing on my lid forced me to rebuild this last winter. I didn't shorten the door opening , had to lenthen the body to fit it on the 78 chassis. To accomidate the whole family I had to make room for 5. That's when I had to come up with a seating arangement and family cage to do the job and still look good. I think that I did ok. I'm running a 460 with C6, Dana 60's front and rear with 44's, ram assist steering, new aluminum radiator and steering, trans, and oil coolers, custom anti-wrap bar that I made after throwing many rear joints. Not to many boughten parts, my friends and I try to keep our rigs as low budget as possible. It's not a show rig, but I'm very proud of what I have done, along with the great friends that I have.

See ya on the trails, Ron

And yes the hoop in the rear is for a spare in the future, as soon as I find a 40" spare.

Got a few small things done this week. Got my temp/compass mirror mounted lol transfer case and rear pinion seal and yoke changed, power steering fixed, lockouts changed, and for heavens sake I think I got the carb back on and working. I got a chance to get the rig outside and got some pix also.

I was thinking of doing the same but using my 96 F350. I like the idea of a wider frame. Do you have any photos of the underside? I'd like to see how close the frame is to the edge of the body. So from frame to rock ski. I assume its attached to the frame if the cage is connected to the ski.

Wow, I gotta say it again...WOW! You have done some nice work. I like the look of the sloping cage in the rear. I also don't care too much for exo cages, but your's fits so well that it almost looks to have come with the bronco. Nice tube work. You want me to come by? I have a bronco that needs some tube ;) Very nice. Keep up the good work! And let us know howthe first trail shackes out. I just wonder if your rear tires are going to stuff into the fender.

Yes I got a 460 in it with a few engine compartment mods to get all the stuff under the small hood. I always ran a fullsize until I flipped on it's lid last fall and Mp talked me into building an EB. I have to thank him for that. I had a good friend that helped me with the main hoops and then picked away at the rest. I had around 10 to 15 different pix of cages that I took ideas from and even after I got started bending I had to change things because what looked good in the pix didn't look good on the rig.I think that with the limited flex that I have in the rear with the stock springs, I should have enough room for the 44's. We were thinking of fabing up some longer shackles for the rear to level the rig up a little. If that doesn't work, maybe a 4 link can be the project for next winter. Broncoholic I got a picture to show you the bottom of the rock sliders, which later are going to be my air tanks for my onboard air. It's about 16" away from the frame.

I have to give alot of the credit to some great friends. I couldn't have done it by myself.

Thanks for all the input and I'll keep you all up to date on further mods
