Edelbrock Performer manifold Vacuum line routing

Ok, I'm finally adding vacuum power brakes to the steed and thought I'd see if anybody has a better routing plan for vacuum lines:

I've got:
1405 Carb rear Vac port -->PCV Valve
Rt rear manifold port --> C4 shift modulator
Lft Rear Manifold port --> currently plugged -> likely going to the Booster.


I guess I should hook up the vacuum gauge to each and see which has the highest vacuum, but thought someone may know/did better?

Anybody have suggestions??

They all go to the same common area, they should all be the same vacuum.
But the ports on the runners, they do tend to pulse slightly. But a couple feet of vacuum hose that attach the gauge to the port is usually enough to dampen the pulses.

The PCV to the base of the carb is my prefered location. This way the gasses coming through get distributed evenly among all the cylinders. Routing to a single runner tends to put all the gasses into that one cylider which messes with the air/fuel for that one hole.

PCV ius a flowing port. Don't put anything else on the same port as the PCV.
The others are pressure sensing (transmission) or minimal flow (booster only flows for a second until the booster is stabalized under vacuum then all the flow for that item stops). These just need manifold vacuum. Using a runner is fine, the length of the vacuum hose to the transmission will dampen any pulses and the brake booster will simply go to the highest vacuum and then hold it until the brakes are released. If you didn't know the booster waits in a state of vacuum and when assist is requested atmospheric air pressure is used to boost the effort. When released the air introduced into the booster for the assist is sucked out and the whole booster goes back into a state of vacuum.

I just hooked mine up to the rear driver's side port on mine yesterday, but haven't cranked the engine to see how it will work. Sounds right to me though, based off what others recommended.
