I’ve been installing this thing for a while now and I cannot get it to start. For anyone who has installed this, where did you run the black and pink ignition wire? Has to be a constant 12v and start and run.

Did you clock the distributor right? There is a special way to set it up. You can’t just drop it in.

I installed the PF4 and a Painless harness at the same time and used the #920 Red/Green wire from the painless harness since the PF4 has its own coil power wires. I would think (but don't know for sure) you could use the electric choke power wire if equipped?

Try and see if you can use a remount start from under the hood. Mine wouldn’t start at first with the key but it would start from under the hood. Turned out I had 1 wire hooked up wrong on switch. It would crank but not start with key. Start every time from under the hood.

I picked the red/green wire up off the harness. It worked, but for some reason my alternator (4G) that uses the same wire won’t charge. Always something

You spliced into that wire and are running both items off of it? You should measure the voltage on the red with green wire where it reaches the alternator. If it’s below a certain amount, it might not energize the regular.
Unless the regulator or alternator had failed, there’s something wrong with the wire before it reaches the regulator.
