Hey i see you are on here, im swapping a 96 explorer 5.0/4r70w in my 91 bronco and had a few questions?

Ill start with the explorer cruise.
I have it wired up, but 2 pins have me lost, pin 6 and pin 3.

I have pin 5 hooked to the original bronco vacumn speed control input and i can pass the button test without 6 connected but i get a error 4(flash test) on the vss(its hooked up, and i ran the wire to the vss+ on the 42 pin(and back traced it), if i ground the vss sig it will pass and will cycle.

Then my other question is evap, i have binary editor, im going back and forth on adding the stuff, but i think you mentioned the fuel tank level for the system to work/ installing a resisitor in your vid?, i dont see any option in binary editor to really disable it minus changing the thresholds, and its holding me back from finishing my wiring. Wondering if you had any insight on it?

Thankyou.

Im running a 96 engine harness and SLL4 ecm.

Binary Editor will not let you alter emissions, it's been that way for several years since the EPA started its reign of tyranny.
If you have the fuel level input wire then use a resistor between it and ground. You may have to play with resistor values while watching the level% on a scantool. It needs to read between 15% and 85% for the system to run the tests. IIRC 80k ohms gave me 50% fuel level, so start with that.

I'm having trouble making sense of your cruise control issues. This is probably due to the fact that I woke up to a broken coffee maker. Are you following this diagram?

I saw your diagram , i am using the stock 91 bronco wheel and wired it to the power and input side on the vacumn cruise , so i have pin #5 on the explorer on going to 151 lt blue black on the bronco side, its grounded on the 91 cruise, but the 96 cruise works without pin 6 hooked up? Do i just need to ground that wire? And im running vss threw the factory explorer engine harness so the ecm sees it, so the vss + out on the 42 pin is currently connected to the speed control but when i do a button test the vss fails. (Get 4 flashes)

And i figured on the epa, i keep notice things disapesr over the last few updates, :(

So sounds like if i keep the evap stuff intact i need to run a 80k +/- resistor, if i didnt want to what resistor would i need show empty or full outside its test requirements? I dont really see much on the evtm on that wire or the explorer guage cluster pinoout.

My main goal is to get th is running with no check engine light / cruise lol.
