I'll take a look, thanks!

BTW - the EFIdynotuning website is my tuning bible. Thanks for the great resource. An unbelievable wealth of information. If you are ever in Los Angeles, I'll buy you a beer.

Alcohol in the fuel will pull water out of the air and corrode the aluminum tubing if it is not anodized on the ID. Road salts etc. will do the same to the OD if not also ano'd. Add in aluminum's susceptibility to early fatigue failure from vibration (usually right at the base of the flare) and I relegate it's use to drag race cars only. That's my educated and experienced opinion anyway, others may think differently.

I've worked with the cupro-nickel brake system tubing on English sports racers and I've long wondered why for so long it has been difficult to get here in the States.

Intersting on your info with the aluminum. I know some of the vendors sell aluminum kits and have not seen or heard of any negative feedback. What you are saying does make sense but mine is run for now. If it becomes a problem down the road, I will probably get the corresponding copper nickel tubing and use it for my fuel as well. That is some really nice stuff!

Just to give an idea of how bad this can be, on the methanol fueled Boss 302 Super Comp Dragster that I crewed for the fuel tank got drained in the shop after every event and filled with some gasoline, which we then ran it on (no load) to purge as much alcohol out of the fuel system as was reasonable.

Two should be obvious things, this was pure alcohol and the car sat for a month or more between race events. So scale back any corrosion expectations from that.

The not obvious thing was that while the car is/was based in coastal CA, it was located in a region that tended towards dry summers and not terribly wet winters, so scale up any corrosion expectations from there.
FWIW, all of it's fuel plumbing was stainless steel tube or teflon braided SS hose. The corrosion concerns were more for the Enderle injection pump and other aluminum parts in the fuel system.

I have the Aeromotive Phantom 340. Pump runs great and the only time you hear the pump is for 5 seconds when you turn to key for it can prime. It's a little pricey but well worth the investment so far and hope it stays that way(knocking on wood lol)

This.

I've also had the Aeromotive 340 in the BC tank for over 3 years running my 427 with no issues.
