I don't want to offend anyone but I have searched the threads about the gt40p heads and have a question that has not been covered. Just as a note I have a set on a 75, 302 block. They are great heads and I had to use my original exhaust manifold on the passenger side from 75 and the drivers side is from an Explorer. Here is the question I have. Are any of you running an aluminum intake and carb on the gt40p heads? If so, what set up are you running and do you have a lift for hood clearance? I am currently running a early Ford 5.0 Mustang aluminum in take with a 600 Eldebrock. I am not sure the intake is seating properly on the block due to there is a bolt hole past the head and there is some oil seepage. The intake design looked close to the stock intake. All other head bolts match up fine except the right front intake does not match the head. I have a piece just sticking out there about an 1/2 inch. I really don't want to have to put a lift on for carb clearance. Thanks for your input.
