90 5.0L HO ready to install. I didn't get any linkage or cable from donor (Lincoln). The links on this subject don't seem to explain what to use although they talk about some bending and filing a notch.
Is a cable used? From what ? A pickup?
EB is 66 & will have PB booster.
What do I need? (either from a parts house or yard)
Thanks for any help. Special thanks for anyone offering pics.

Cable. Is your throttle body on the drivers or passenger side? If on the passenger side, you can use a Mustang 5.0 cable. You'll need the bracket that supports the cable at the throttle body end. If the t/b is on the drivers side, you could still use the mustang cable, but the Lincoln cable will likely be a better fit. Those cables have a flange on them where they pass thru the firewall. Need to drill one hole out, then it bolts right up to the EB firewall. Where the cable connects to the gas pedal arm, do this (description is about 3/4 down the page): http://www.broncofix.com/Tech/sefi/sefi.htm

This is the photo from that site: http://www.broncofix.com/Tech/sefi/bw21.JPG

I've got that exact setup, as do several friends. Works great.

Thank you Lars. Makes more sense with your explanation. I'll start looking for a Lincoln cable (passenger side TB)

i did this last night, on the gas peadle i turned that ball mount around 90 deg's then, removed the ball, then drill a hole for mustang cable, and ran the cable just like stock, but its a tight fit if your using the Mustang intake
