Here I am, trying to get the starter to work. hit the key, wait 10 seconds, starter works. change the solenoid, same thing. new battery ditto, take out old starter put in rebuild kit replace starter same thing
Curse and swear trying to figure this out.
TOFWIC comes along and says " why didn't you order and new starter and battery from RRRAAAYY22, instead of fighting with this BS?"
DDUUHH! smack up side of head, onto phone, call Ray new ones on the way. Now I know problem is gone.
Sometimes it takes the ladies to make us open our eyes.
Anyone else had the little women straighten out a problem for you??

Been struggling with starter and solenoid for a couple of weeks off and on. Checked and rechecked a gazillion times. finally used a jumper wire - solenoid was mislabeled (reversed S & I terminals). Switched wires, fired immediately. All I had to do was run quick jumper wire to test. Hours and hours of frustration for a 30 second fix.

That's what you call strategy. Make the wife think it was her idea to spend the money on new parts.
