explorer 5.0 air cleaner/MAF/TB set up

Wondering what this connector is for? its on the the air cleaner tube from the 96 explorer 5.0.

I am taking the MAF out of the housing and just dissecting everything as i go to start mapping out my air cleaner/MAF/Throttle body set up. be nice to get some pics to get ideas of everyones set up.
