Guys I know that explorer disc brakes have been beat to death but I have a question about them that for some reason, is an impossible question to get answered without them installed in front of you. What is the dimension from the wheel face of the rotor to the back of the caliper? What I thought would be an easy answer from aftermarket suppliers has proven difficult.

Anyone have some mounted up that could get out a straight edge and a tape measure?

Thank you in advance!

Well, since it's pretty easy to run out to the garage and take a wheel off....if I'm understanding what you're asking for... WMS to furthest inboard point of the caliper. My eyeballs are pretty bad at close quarters like that anymore but it looks like about 6 5/8" to the end of the banjo bolt. About 6.25" from WMS to end of caliper bolts and bleeder fitting.

Is this part of your effort to get a caliper to fit in that limited space on your J-10?

Thanks Todd! Yes it is. Haven’t made any commitments but that is the thought process. The M&P ones were too long, took 3 tech guys and a long time on the phone to get the measurement lol.

The expo set up might just fit. Now for me to pull a wheel and measure, which I have done but forgot lol. 7” is what I seam to remember
