In the process of tearing apart a core explorer mtr and wondering if any one is able to use the stock oil filter/cooler in a bronco i have the stock ps box and remember that it was tight to get the bottom hose, with out the cooler, fabbed and on. had to cut put a sleeve in and rotate the hose on my first motor . Now that im putting a 351 in and that stock filter cooler thing looks tempting. Although i dont know if it's to cool, heat or regulate the oil temp in original use.

I did find a picture of one installed on a build but the body was not on or radiator

If I recall correctly, viperwolf had one but not 100% positive on that. I've briefly tried to get one in my truck but just seemed too tight... and not sure how it attaches to the block as the threads seemed different...

It will fit but then you have to figure out how to run coolant lines, which makes it pretty much not fit. i did not use it.

I gave it a thought... But Ford doesn't carry service parts for it anymore, Obsolete. I wanted all the o-rings needed...

You can find used units on EBay and you can also find the various service parts. I did find a few new units as well.

Good luck with the install. Doug
