Can anyone give me some guidance on this particular set up for the explorer serpentine upper radiator hose? I like the total design and fit. If it is yours, do you have a standard hood on this? What part numbers and make?

Thanks,

Forrest

It's most likely the 87-93 Mustang top hose. I think I have a brand new one at home if you want it.

What radiator did you go with? Stock or reverse?

Thanks for all the replies, especially with the pictures. It is the champion radiator, and I used their 3" half shroud. I was curious because I had to mount my radiator over towards the passenger side due to my steering box being on the inside of the frame, and then I had to mount my condenser in the cored support opening, which mover the radiator again. It is a tight fit, and I do not like my current set up, so, thanks again for the parts #s.

Thanks Todd, I appreciate it, but with shipping, I bet it ends up being almost as if I just go to Napa. Besides, with my mods, I think I will have to go the Dayco route, but time will tell.

Congrats to you and the Mrs., and on both your books. Keep using the grey matter.

I have the one on my 302 like this. Problem, if you want to call it a problem, just not as easy, is can't use the long handle for putting the belt on and off, have to use short handle to clear the hose for enough swing which makes it a little more difficult.

Trans cooler in radiator

The internal transmission cooler can’t be too tall 9 1/2” center of barb fittings hose connection . You can’t take the cooler in the pass side it’s too tall. Finding a aluminum cooler is the issue tig welded it to the plate and leak checked it before welding it in the radiator

Mill work on radiator

This may be a little overkill but mounted the radiator on a mill to cut it out I guess this will probably avoid the warranty thru Champion . Second picture not welded in place yet just cooler welded to aluminum plate Cut the fan shroud in half and made a plate drilled and taped to bolt top and bottom together
