Eye bolt hitch idea?

I'm looking for anybody's input on these eye bolt hitch's I've welded up over the last month or so. I've taken a standard 1 1/2 inch eye bolt, milled down the threads to make it square and then slid them into 2 inch receiver tube and welded them up with my miller 350p. I then set them in the drill press and work through not only the receiver tube, but also the eye bolt itself. up to 5/8 of an inch for the standard hitch pin size. the result is a large ring that's removable when it needs to be. I've sold a few of these to close friends. But am looking for advice from the "seasoned" guys

Still prefer a clevis. I can take the pin out and feed the loop of a tow strap through much easier then having thread through a fixed hole. Pintle would probably be better as it is a loop that can be opened, but even a small one is heavy. Clevis is probably the middle of the road as far as light and easy, but not the fastest nor simplist although still pretty darn simple.

That is pretty cool!
On the rare occasion I've resorted to being strapped or winched out, I have just run the end of my tow strap into the receiver and running the hitch pin through the loop in the strap. It is very simple and the hitch pin is always there just for that purpose. No lost departure angle that way vs having a big loop hanging out of the bumper.

This being said, I restate my first comment, that is pretty cool! Nice work.

I like it too.
It would be cool to have it just stay looped into your tow/snatch strap. When you get your strap out it is already on it. You slip it into your reciever hitch do your tug or pull then pull the pin and put it all away.
