I'm considering a set of the F250 shock towers. How much taller are they than stock? I have a 3 1/2" lift and am attempting to figure out what shock size I'll need with them. I'm also considering keeping the stock tower but cant figure a good way to compress the the suspension in the garage to get a measurement. Currently, I'm looking at about 19" eye to stud while sitting flat and about 24" eye to stud stretched out with the highlift jack under the front bumper. I'm thinking wild horses shocks like I have in the rear.

I forgot to check the tech section. Looking at that photo, It looks to be 2-3" taller than the stock mount. I'm wondering if it will make any difference with only 3 1/2" of lift.

Sure it will. The front is usually limited by the shock. A longer shock will get you more travel. Another bonus is there are more sizes available with an eye end instead of a stud end.

24.5'' with the truck just sitting, no flex.

With 12 inch shortbody Bilstiens the F250 mount on mine is right up against the inner fender. This gives me enough drop to bind the driveshaft and I'm using stock bumpstops to protect the shock.

Its possible that I'm just retarded but I pulled my front shocks off this evening and cant get any more flex out of the front end than I got with shocks installed. I'm just using the Hi lift jack under the bumper to stretch it out and a jack under the axle to compress it. I have Duff 3 1/2" coils. How much flex should I be able to get. out of this? Maybe I can't get full flex with a jack and I need to go out and find a nice ditch to drive through.

Drop the highlift. Just use the jack under the axle. A ditch or loading dock wall would probably work better though.
