What color was the exterior of bronco bodys primed with? Did this change over the 12 years of early broncos? Here is an original paint patina 77 bronco. My 69 has a similar colored primer. It is a pinkish grey?

Hoping to replicate the primer color to blend some patina spots.

Red oxide was correct on most of the body but later years the front fenders and hood had no primer only the black E coat .I maybe off but I think black E coat came along in 69-70 I have some nos sheet metal with C8 part numbers on them still all red so 1968 a lot of later broncos Like 76 and 77 the front end will almost look like a different color like they did not get as much paint on front fenders and hood .

An option is epoxy primer, and I'll mention SPI. they have White, Grey. black, and red oxide , colors they can be mixed together .. this may get you where you want
