I'm looking for the donor 4x4 steering box to modify to the rockcrawler (4+4+2) box. What would be considered a fair price for a rebuildable box? Thank you for the help.

I've seen them list for $100-$250 here on the classifieds when they come up...I paid $600 for mine, but it came with a running '76 F150 wrapped around it. You might post a wanted ad and see what shakes loose.

FWIW, you can call your local wrecking yards and see what they have available as well...I use www.car-part.com to access a national registry sometimes when I need something a little more obscure or from something older than what most of my local yards stock. There appears to be several of these inventoried in the US starting at $125 and going up from there. They're pretty heavy, so if you don't have to ship one, that could possibly save you some cash.
