I've got two very similar shafts. Does the bigger circumference shaft go front or rear?

Ok, so here's my measurements 30.5 front and 29.75 rear. The shafts I've got, the skinnier one is shorter.

The single u-joint mounts to the differential. The double cardan joint (2 u-joints) mounts to the transfer case. It will become obvious when you go to install!!!

Just read your second post. Driveshaft length is what's important.

You did, the are very close, I'd say about 3/8" difference but the rear is the longer of the two.

Driveshaft

I made the front out of 2" because ov the clearance issues accocated with the oil pan also you get a little bit more angle out of the front

I'm tracking that. I was just puzzled because the front is the longer stretch but the shafts I got, the fatter of the two is the longer one.
