I picked up (2) 33x9.5 yesterday. I have been looking for one of these for a spare for a long time. Found in B.C. Canada and I only had to drive 350 miles to get it!

Actually, I go to Whistler every year and these were 1.5 miles out of the way!
Pretty convenient.

So not only do you have a spare, you have a spare spare. One with a black wheel and the other aluminum ? Whats the weight savings?

Not sure of weight diff. It has to help, especially with half the tread gone. I'll get the skinniest aluminum Outlaw wheel to match the others too.

More than weight, I just think the 12.5" hanging off the back when the top is off looks like a big hemorroid!

Wish they could be found readily. Who has a good substitute?

There is a good looking set of five on Portland CL $500 OBO, but he wouldn't let go of just one.

If anybody wants only four of them, I'll buy the fifth.

What's the date code on those tires?
I've had too many issues with good tread but old tires coming apart.

I can think back a few years ago someone got a Bronco and took it to the Stampede. They got it running and the tires held air. At the end of the night there was a call for stock sized tires. All 4 tires blew out on the trail.

Also old tires loose a lot of grip. I remember being in Moab watching an old man rig, one that was built years ago and not touched since. Struggled and spun tires on fairly mild climbs. Even had well worn bypasses for what couldn't get up it. But stock rigs on factory tires (that happen to be new) would stick.

A couple months ago out trials riding there was a guy who brought out a vintage bike and ride it. Back tire was brand new but several years old. It would slip and he crashed multiple times. The rubber was too hard and didn't stick.

The list of old tire issues I have delt with could go on for weeks. Stuff blowing out in the middle of the night while parked for days. Stuff lost on the road. And the common factor, all were old tires.
