I know it has been awhile but I finally looked through MPs threads and read about the stealth bumpers we built a year ago. Shortly after we built them I heard about my upcoming deployment (soon), my daughter graduated high school, and just too much military stuff come up for me to be on here so I totally missed it when it was popular. If anyone is still interested I have a LOT of pics of the fabrication I can resize and show. How do I attach the link here?

Here's a few. Let me tell you before you say it. These things are way over-engineered and HEAVY! I don't know what kind of steel he brought me but you will see in one picture where the weld metal rusted but the rest of it hasn't. 2 X 8 X 3/8 is definitely overkill.

Cutting off some frame horn. Reinforcing frame horn. Rear one wrench mounting with hidden nut. Test fitting.

He wanted these bumpers as high as possible and tucked up under as far as possible to maintain as much ground clearance, approach and departure angle, and to take up room for his body lift.

1. Another pic of the one wrench mounting. 2. Rear frame extension. 3. Overall look (note notch out for his gas tank. Gained about 1 1/2 inches). 4. Angle iron to maintain bow.

1. Angle iron 2. 5/16 inch droop on both ends to make it frown. He explained this in the original thread. 3. Front bumper inside view. 4. Hole cut in for winch.

How do I post the link to his thread? Or search for it under mp threads I guess.

1. Front bumpers welds ground down. 2 & 3. Winch sits down inside. 4 & 5. Even spacing on both sides.

Custom Bumper

I was looking around on here for some bumper ideas when I saw this thread. Pretty much copied the idea and added some things to it. Thought I would post some more pics to help some other people out. Let me know if you have any questions. I will also load some additional photos to my gallery.
