Finding stereo power

Hi, need help with some bad wiring from the PO. I am installing a new stereo and need my two power wires. The PO tapped the brake pedal power and the yellow /brown coming out of the harness by the ignition. I pulled those taps off but can't seem to figure it out. I hooked the taps back up but it won't work now so..... Where can I get my two power lines? Specific colored wires would be most appreciated!! Thanks!

Start with this diagram, read its caption, then go to the NEXT 4:

The key-switched power should come off Fuse 2 at Splice 302 on the Y/Bk wire, just like the original. For memory (battery) power, circuit 284 R between the headlight switch & brake switch is a pretty good choice.

You can hook the one that requires constant power to the battery and the switched wire to the ignition switch wire that sends power out when the key is on. If you are not sure which wire that is use a multi-meter on the leads coming off the switch...... That is if your Bronco doesn't have a wire coming off the old fuse box specifically for a radio that comes from the ignition switch.

Thanks for all the help! I used my tester light and found power for both.

If my memory serves, there is a dedicated post in the center of the back of the ignition switch that is switch power - nice and easy. That is how I ran power to my stereo.
