There’s a retaining clip or snap ring that holds the input gear on the shaft that goes from Dana 20 to the transmission. I can’t find it anywhere… anyone have a source? I’m doing an Ax15 swap and I have the adapter kit, but this is an original part. The instructions call for using the old one... but I don’t have it. Thanks!

Personally, I never use the stock ones. As long as you have the ability to take decent measurements, you can find a better replacement, like these:
Much easier on/off.
