fire wall grommet and ryan's efi harness

To all that are using Ryan's harness....

What is the best way to install the firewall grommet onto the harness.

Slit the grommet and fill with RTV to seal it on the harness?

How is every one else doing it?

I just used a razor blade and cut it on the bottom side. I then installed it on the new harness and super glued it back together. I used some acetone to clean the rubber before gluing. It held real good even after twisting and contorting the grommet to get it into the hole in the firewall.
