I get my cut off wheels at Harbor freight. I know Harbor Freight, how good can they be, but I have been impressed on how long they last, they come in 10 packs for around 10 bucks.

good quality at roark supply, one of the sponsors here I've been really impressed with their cut off discs.
leigh high valley is another source for grinding discs that last well and good pricing. I don't care for their cut off dics as much as the ones from roark

I went with Roark on one of their specials, worked with me on getting the various styles I wanted. Harbor freight is ok but imho there is a quality difference for their grinding stuff.

Sadly harbor freight as well sometimes true value when I feel rich but the stuff from HF last pretty long and is dirt cheap especially when you have a coupon.

I like harbor freight's cutoff wheels, but their flap disks have a much shorter lifespan than almost anything else I've ever used. Name brand eBay bulk is a great way to go.

Same source.

I was running HF for years. The quality took a dump and I had to search out a new source.

I know what you mean, when they had the pittsburg brand they didn't last to long, they now have chicago brand and they last a lot longer. Last fall I cut up a parts bronco and only used 1 1/2 wheels, I was very surprised.

Actually it was the flap disks that would frag that finally pushed me away from HF. Getting a cut off wheel that wasn't out of balance and would last was just a nice side benefit.

It only takes a couple HF cutting wheel explosions to realize they are not worth the discount. Buy in bulk from Rourk.

I've always used the good 3m and Norton cutoff wheels in my body shop. The cheap ones were always just that. Cheap and didn't last. HOWEVER. My dad talked me into trying the cheap ones at O'Reilly's and I have to say, they have been great! Cheaper than the 3m and Norton by far but hold up just as well. They also carry 3" and 4". I run the 4" mostly in 1/32" thickness. Cheap, last well, and LOW DUST!
