Valvoline SynPower power steering fluid ok for astro hydroboost/Explorer 5.0/upgraded steering box (I think it's the 4x2 upgrade, can't remember exactly)? Have some sitting in garage...

Yes, should be fine. Although that specific product has been discontinued, it should still meet all of the OEM lubricant requirements set forth by the various things you have going on with your system.

As long as it is power steering fluid you should be fine. Never use ATF no matter what any old timers tell you!
