Is there any trick to folding down windshield without removing top?

Step 1: remove the top.
Step 2: remove the windshield knobs
Step 3: fold and watch any repaint at the windshield hinge crack, chip, and go flying.
step 4: realize you don't have the windshield hold down hardware and the windshield is going to rub on the hood.

You are not going to fold down the windshield with the top in place. The arc of the windshield hinge means the top of the windshield must move through the same space that is occupied by the hard top.
