FORD Grille Letters - Install Question

Hey guys,

New on here, first post but have been reading up on here for a few months. I'm installing FORD Grille Letters on my 71'. It didn't have them before, so I've had to drill holes in the grille for them.

My question is on the locking nuts that I got with them from Tom's Bronco Parts. I can't seem to get these nuts all the way on the back of the letter so that it sits flush on the grille. Sorry if it's a stupid question, there might be an easy way to get them all the way on that I'm not seeing.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

It's not uncommon to need to remove material from the back of aftermarket grill letters to get them to sit flush to the grill.
I used a Dremel tool to do this when I installed mine.
Hope this helps and welcome to the site.

I had to do that to the "F" and the "R".
