Got a new body thanks to a member 74njbronco! Dude is awesome! Can't find many people like that these days. He's helping one of my childhood dreams come true!
Well got the engine out! Now the entire frame is sanded and painted! Manifolds are leaking oil when I took them off.. Wonder what else will go wrong as I get further into this old 302. As far as the overall project I think I'm making very good progress with working 2-10 everyday!
So here is the plan now. I'm gonna start with the new tub sand it all down fix the three or four bad bondo spots. Patch the two rust spots on the floor pans, new rockers. Then sand everything. Get me a hood and tailgate and top. After all the body work is complete I'm going to rebuild my ol' 302,c4,and Dana 20. Planning on boring .30 over and a mild cam. Then go from that point
Well I started body work on this ol rusty thing today
Found out the rockers have been replaced once before they were braised on. they havet done that for a while so its gotta be pretty old. I got a new toy tho! Plasma!
