Just thinking out loud but I worry that opening it up to all the newer "classics" could possibly make this site like other forums that I won't get on. Too many egos and BS. PS I do like the 2nd gens.

most certainly could happen

Well it certainly drove some discussion. Jon owns the site, so it would ultimately be his decision. I don't think he supports the idea right now, so it's a moot point. Just wanted to see others thoughts on this. I own 67, 72, and 78 Broncos, so a forum for the 78/79 would benefit me greatly. Thanks for the discussion!

I own a 73, a 79 (technically two 79's to make one), & a 90. I love them all. I'm a member on FSB as well as here. I have some good friends there. FSB has calmed down over the years & the crowd is different than it once was.

This forum has a special air to it. Everyone seems to not require a lot of moderation to keep between the lines. Pushing to bring others in will likely change the overall feel of the place, & add to Jon's work load.

Since they have a 78/79 tech section at FSB, it doesn't seem like there's a real need to add one to CB for those who aren't already here.

But for those who are here, this community is very knowledgeable, understands more than just EBs, & many members have good info to share with those of us who have newer Broncos.

I think a good plan might be to keep the forum as is. For members who want to discuss those other years, encourage them to include year info in their thread title, so the thread title itself draws in those within this community who can help.

Jon is the man and is more than fair. he'll make the decision based off feedback, amount of time he has left in the day after all this, etc LOL :)

Frankly, I would say the 6th gen section needs to go. However, I don't think that will happen and would imagine a 78-96 section could be added as a trial maybe?

The only advantage we have here is that Jon doesn't seem to put up with too much BS for too long, so if there were squabbles he would put his thumb on it.

The 6th gen section here is frankly the only 6th gen section I can tolerate on the net. Everywhere else is talking about gluing on new bronco emblems or stickers from Etsy, Oh, wait there is also: what do I name by truck and how do I get bucked... What a shit show.

I’m going to say no as well. I have some other Ford projects waiting on time and space. Any questions I want y’all’s thoughts on I’ll just post in the Off Topic sub forum when the time comes. I don’t care for messing with the magic that is CB.com.
