So I see this listing on Craigslist for a 1977 Bronco for $4000.00 Shipped. (link below) I email the seller to try and meet up and look at the Bronco. Come to find out the Bronco is in Frankfort, IL and the seller is in Detroit, MI. The grammer on the add is perfect. The grammer in the email is worse than mine. AND MINE SUCKS.

I was smelling fraud from the beginning. If the pics stop working on photobucket let me know. I saved them to my PC and can put them back up on my account.

Great looking Bronco with an unbelievable price.

I did ask the seller what PO Box she wanted me to send the Money Order to. I have yet to get a response. Watch out for scams!!!

these are the pictures that were online. It looks like they pulled all the pictures. I never did get a response from the email I sent asking what PO Box they wanted me to send the Money Order to. I guess they didn't want to deal. He He.

I figure they found them on the internet and used them.

Skiddy. This was listed on the OKC site. I'm in OKC. If you do see one that is in the 3-4k range let me know. That price would be a rebuilder but I can work with just about anything.

Just goes to show you never take anything for granted. Do your research and never deal with anyone unless you are 100% confindent and can prove and backup everything with your own research.

I know pretty much all of the bronco's around here and that's not one of them. I'll keep a lookout for you though. I sold a 75 for 25 just a couple years ago.

well you need to send them an email and offer them more then want for it. Then tell them you will send your agent to pick it up and some money you included to them for him to deal with the logistics of it.

SCAM!
For giggles post up an example of the bad grammar. I found one like that when I was looking. Ad said the Bronco was in San Francisco. Email back and forth with the seller turned up that it was actually (supposedly) in Texas. The guy had quite the story too - said that his brother did the resto because he gets great deals on high quality parts and that he was not looking to make a profit, just to pass a well-built classic on to an enthusiast, blah blah blah...

He even said he'd ship it to me at no risk "for my inspection" and if I didn't like it he'd ship it back to himself. Said he was using some bogus escrow service. It was entertaining to say the least.

I already wasted enough time on this deal I dont' feel like wasting any more.

Had I already not sent the email asking for a PO # I would have said I have a coworker that flew into the area and will drive the Bronco back.

Oh well. I hope this person scams the wrong person and they track them down and give them the beating of their life. I would pay to have that video played on the national news at 6pm every day for a month.

Heres a reply I got on a red 77 listed on craigs list in FL. SCAM I flagged the post and after I flagged I got an e-mail response.

First of all I want to thank you for your interest for my car. I sell it at this price $ 4,000 because i just finished the divorce with my husband. When the divorce has finished i own this car. Now as a women i don't need it. This car is in excellent working conditions, no scratches, flaws or any kind of damage, slightly used in 100% working and looking conditions and comes with a clear title, 3 months transferable warranty.
From the beginning you have to know that for the payment I request only secure pay, I prefer the payment to be done using eBay services.(ebay purchase program)
We will use a safe payment method because I am affiliated at eBay and I have a purchase protection account for $20.000. The final price that I want for this car is $ 4,000 including shipping and handling.
If you are interested in buying it please provide me your full name and address so I can initiate the deal through eBay purchase program.IF YOU WANT TO EXPLAIN YOU HOW WORK EBAY PURCHASE PROGRAM PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND I WILL EXPLAIN YOU.
You can see more pictures by click on the link below :

One thing I noticed last night after going over the emails was the writing.

One email was horrible grammer. The next email had good sentence structure and proper word usage.

It is definately a group of people working the scam.
