If you have a '65 1.08 venturi 480 CFM 4100 built for 289 applications in even repairable condition you should be able to get $400+ for it.

Craig's List is a great place to find deals because the sellers often don't know the value of the item they're selling. I got a complete '73 FJ40 windshield wiper motor, arms, and mounting hardware in excellent condition for $25. I told him I wanted to try to make it work on my EB. It did. There's a far less complete one on ebey now for $375 that's rusty.

To the best of my knowledge Ford only offered 480 CFM 4100s on none HP 289s till '65. Then they did put 1.08 4100s on 352s. I have one for my 351w because Ford never put 4100s on 351Ws. The 4bbl 351Ws got 4300s that were not nearly as good.
The sight below is great source of info on ford parts used in '60-'70s cars.

'66 was the last year for the non HP. They all but went away on small blocks in'67. Police Interceptors were the primary recipients in 67, 68, and 69.

There is no reason to pay the big dollar for the 1.08s off 289s you do know that the difference between the 1.08 and the 1.12 is approx 11 cfm on the primary side of carb ? and no a 1.08 off big block has a completley incorrect booster if you find certain big block cores with correct boosters they work fine on a Bronco application I have done a bunch for members on this site and they are pleased with the results.

Most 4100s had kick down levers. If you have or get one that needs the kick down, many 2100s had a primary throttle shaft, that can convert the 4100 to work on automatics. I think Ford stuck with 4100s on police interceptor 428s because of it's reliability. All the other large displacement engines got 4300s after '66.
As vintage broncos pointed out the difference between 1.08 and 1.12 4100s is minimal. The 4100s made for 289s are high dollar because of Mustang restorers who want the correct part. The one I referenced was quite reasonably priced for anyone needing a small block 4100. This carb should work fine on a 302 with no modification. Ford made as many booster venturis as carbs but a 4100 that needs something different to make it run well could be fixed one from either another 4100 or 2100. I have about 20 to experiment with. I like to run the smallest 4bbls I can find and 400-500 CFM carbs work better on my 351 than 600 CFMs.
