Found a way to make my soft top easier to install

Probably not the first but I wish I would've known about it sooner.

Works better than laying out in the sun or in front of a heater, which never really worked for me and still required brute strength and expletives

Couple of minutes in hot water and it reduced the effort by 90%. Can probably get the other 10% if you leave it in longer.

I have a BCB soft top so I don't know if the other tops have removable windows that are also a PITA to stretch and snap.

Clever! When I first started reading, I thought you figured out a way to put the whole top in water!
Yeah, they all have that issue though. Whether just putting the windows in, or installing the entire top, cold sucks.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks - where was this idea about a month ago. I really thought I was going to kill myself putting those panels in...

Great idea...

If I'm late installing a top, I throw the top in the large dryers at the laundermat.

I crank the truck
Let it warm up while im installing the top
Then Zip the windows in leaving some slack

Close the doors
Roll up the glass Turn the heater on full blast
Go have lunch

Come back and the top is warm enough to stretch that last little bit
