I’ve read that people are using the Lokar kick down cable with the 5.0 EFI intake, can someone post the part number and pictures please.

I have EGR delete and when I talked with Lokar they said there bracket would not work with this setup.

Thanks

Okay, I am assuming that you are using a Mustang Upper and lower plenum with a C4 based on your post...

The kick down cable was a Lokar unit, bought it from Wildhorses. (Didn't record a part#)

I used a Mustang throttle cable, with the automatic cable bracket. Where the AOD cable would be, I welded a fender washer in the mounting hole. If you have EGR delete, then you would need the EGR block off plate that retains the mounting holes for the accel cable bracket.

As you can see there is play in the cable so there is no downshift unless WOT. On the end of the TB arm, pop out the AOD cable bushing and use a throttle cable end for a Ford carb.

Here are some pictures...

Thanks 904Bronco - that’s want I needed to see...my throttle setup is the same (Mustang cable and bracket).

I’ll call Wild Horses and order it up.
