Small shop in New York. Found him through internet search. Prices are in the middle (not gearstar high). He is a small business and was low (2 months). He answered the phone every time I called he answered. Last call I made, I told him my concerns and goal, he called back later (he was dealiing with another issue) and told me he would get me built and shipped this week. No excuses, no apology, just took care of business. I respect that. I will keep this post updated.

Fred recommended Wolfhead Universal ATF…..I think someone already said, not sure if it makes much difference but choose one and stick with it. Walmart actually carries the brand.

Fred called yesterday and let me know trans had shipped. Gave me instructions and let me know the new filters they use are so good, they need to be changed about every thousand miles, depending on type of driving you do. So I will be looking for a different filter after first change, recommendations ?

Transmission is working fine. 1700 rpm’s at 72ph with 33 inch tires. Currently have 4.11s. Tad bit under but will use the overdrive on/off button for now. 4.56s would probably be just right considering I have a stock explorer motor.
