So hopefully this set up will work on the buggy. The cable shown will be replaced with a 5/16" X 10' synthetic line from Viking. (same winch and winch line on the rear axle)

I'd like to do something similar but using my existing front winch. I may have to figure out some sort of pulley system. Subscribed.

So this winch is just to suck down the front axle? Does that mean you run a separate winching unit too?

PS: What happened with the 3 drilled holes and one plasma cut hole ;D
I wish somebody would design a jig or template for easily cutting holes with a plasma torch...

Yes I have three winches. A 12,000lbs main and two 2,000lbs ATV winches.
And as for the holes I fliped the bracked for the winch location backwards. %)
And the center punch was a little off.

It helps keep front end down when the weight starts to transfer on steep hill/rock climbs. The steeper the angle, the more weight is transferred off the front end, so the front end will raise (lighter weight pushing down on springs).

Does that make sense?

Here are the other winches.

That's cool. So you have suck down winches front & back now? All you need is rear steer now!

Yep front and rear suck down winches. I will wait on rear steering. Too much money for this buggy.
