Front fender trimming or better yet clean modification

Making some progress, at least that's what I tell myself, on a 67 U14 I'm building as a half cab. Been doing a decent amount of rust repair and decided to go with the one piece flared rear quarters. Because of that decision I decided to remove front fenders that had flares attached to them and put on some oem uncut front flares that i have had in my stash for quite some time. I really like the look a lot. Of course, the front tires grab the front of the fenders now when turning. I know I can trim them, but I'm curious if any of you have done more "finished" looking modifications to that area? I'm thinking along the lines of trimming/shaping and welding or bending a new lip in. Any pics trimmed or modified are much appreciated as well any ideas you may have.

I'm tempted to just cut it straight back horizontally in line with the bottom of the grill and fabricate a new fender support. I don't love the idea of cutting that much though.

Jon,
That's perfect! Exactly what I was looking for. Did you do that to the orange half cab? Nice!
Thanks,
Tyler
