front window frame with hood latch should I grind it off ?

I was thinking of using this for my bronco but was wondering if this might be important for a certain year. I dont want to go grinding it off.

I believe '69 was the last year for the latch. You can get a replacement kit from most of the vendors, so it's not like that's an irreplaceable part. Grind away in my opinion. Or see if you can find the spot welds and drill them out if you're interested in salvaging the bracket.
