Fuel filler lines

My particular build required me to slightly move my fuel filler locations for the rear and aux fuel tanks, this the original fuel filler tubes are too short and not exactly lined up either. I'm looking for ideas on how to solve this. Either have a muffler shop bend me some new ones and I'll weld in the air purge line, or cut the old ones and weld in a spacer, or run plastic line like from a racing fuel jug. Any ideas are welcome. I also have a particularly sharp turn from the aux tank filler.

Good idea. First pix is rear, second is aux. The tubes will actually go up about another inch (I'd have to unbolt the aircraft filler openings first but I installed them to measure) but they're about 2 inches short. I was planning on cutting off the flanges and trimming back the aircraft fillers and connecting the short distance with a fuel rated hose, but the tubes just aren't long enough.

Doubt that a muffler shop bend is going to get you there, just not a tight enough bend. I think that you're going to have to fabricate them. Can buy carbon steel and stainless steel mandrel bends from Summit, Columbia, SPD, and others that might be a small enough bend radius. If there is someone in your area that builds custom headers I would talk to them if this isn't something that you can do.

I would cut the main tube and weld in a spacer. That is what I did with my Jaz resessed cap.

Thanks. After staring at it for a day that's the same conclusion I came up with. Should be significantly easier than trying to fabricate one from scratch.
