Went to drop off my son at a school function this morning and decided to take the bronco. Got to the school killed the ignition and motor wanted to keep sputtering and turning over for a few seconds until stopping with a “ppppssssshhhh”. Got ready to leave started it up and promptly died along with almost a wining sound. I haven’t been able to zero in on the noise because it won’t stay running without giving it gas. It was a pretty wild ride back to the house with it dying a few times, probably in the most ideal spots possible, on the way home. 302, carb, mechanical fuel pump. I know this is pretty vague but hoping someone can get me in the ballpark or a few starting points or usual suspects. Thanks for any help in advance.
