Has anyone ever tried one of these? Wonder if actually works or is just another useless gimick. Seems pretty harmless since it just straps on over your fuel line and is only $11.99. I could always go for some better fuel mileage without hindering performance. Any thoughts or is this a complete marketing joke?

got one of eBay for $5. put on my DD ('97 Exploder) and picked up about 1-3 mpg depending on conditions. can't say anything about the emissions yadda yadda. But as i understand it is basically a large magnet that when placed over your fuel line (as close to the point of entrance to the engine) and it pulls the gas molecules apart and distributes them more evenly. Thereby allowing for a better spread mixture with more even compression. Just slapped one on the Bronco a week ago, still haven't had enough time to chart out mpg's yet. (only filled up once).

Thats good to hear. I guess I should try one on my DD(tacoma)since it see's a minimum of 100 miles per day and gas sure ain't getting any cheaper over here. Anyone else have any thoughts or opinions in this.

It's doubtful that a magnetic force would affect gasoline. I think this is somewhat of a scam. They don't even offer a scientific explanation of how it works....that's because there is none and it doesn't work!

Magnets only effect ferrous materials... I would hope not to have any in my fuel... since it wouldnt burn well anyway and would mess up the motor at some point... Gasoline is fossil fuel = carbon... not iron.

Placebo effect I say.. but if the sugar pill gets me better MPG.. then I will take it.

If you buy that claim, I got some ocean front property in Saskatchewan (Arizona, to my US people) I will sell you cheap!

If you got money to throw away, give it to a charity , at least you will get a tax deduction.

You want to increase your gas mileage??
Give the truck a good tune-up, a new air filter, a new gas filter and check to see the brakes are not dragging. This alone will probably give you a 2 to 3 mpg increase in mileage.

Slow down by 2-3 mph and save 10 times that amount. Even if it means getting up 5 minutes earlier.

If this thing worked as stated every new car would have a magnet straped around its fuel line and have some fancy name (fuel delivery flux capacitor);D Too bad its not all that its cracked up to be. I was looking for a reason to get rid of some of our refrigerator magnets.
