Fuel temperature and oil guages not working.

None of my guages are working. Just finishing a resto and changed some stuff but they were working before. It has a Centech harness. The common wire from each guage goes to rhe small thingy with two wires on back of speedo.could this cause it?

Yup.
Called IVR
WH sells a better than stock aftermarket one or the original.

IVR - Instrument Voltage Regulator. That's your "thingy". Put a volt meter on the output side, you should see the voltage pulsing. They go bad... heck sometimes they are bad out of the box...

If your in the need for a new one I'd suggest the digital version the vendors sell. The originals are supposed to have 12v in and pulse 5ish out. The digital one outputs a constant 5v.
